When the airship LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin set off on its maiden voyage around the world, wine from the Moselle Valley was also on board – a symbol of quality with international appeal. The Count personally radioed Julius Kayser: ‘Best regards from the Moselle Valley on this beautiful journey across the ocean.’ The legendary Dornier Do X flying boat also carried Moselle wines on its round-the-world flight to New York – a piece of home in the clouds.
